Acomplia

Acomplia (rimonabant) is intended for patients suffering from obesity and unable to deal with this condition on their own. This medicine has been designed by Sanofi-Avensis company and can be used regularly to assist the patients taking it with effective and stable weight loss (up to 20 pounds a year). You do not have to report such side effects as sleep problems, nausea, diarrhea, depression, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting as long as they are mild and do not change in intensity. If they get worse over time – talk to your doctor to see what needs to be done. Taking any drugs along with Acomplia is not a very good idea, as many of the medicines you may be using are likely to interfere with the effects of this weight loss agent. The following ones need to be reported to your doctor if you are taking them at the moment: clarithromycin, ritonavir, telithromycin, phenobarbital, nefazodone, itraconazole, ketoconazole, phenytoin, and carbamazeptine. If you take this drug regularly exactly as prescribed, you are likely to lose up to 20 pounds in the first year of the treatment. However, you shouldn’t expect this medicine to help you lose weight without applying any effort. Acomplia is efficient only if combined with a healthier diet and regular exercise, so talk to your doctor about your individual treatment plan.
